When The Parachute Failed

For David Hartsock and Shirley Dygert, their entire friendship was formed and put to the ultimate test in 30 seconds. That’s how long it took them to fall to the earth from a plane. Hartsock and Dygert tell the story of the day they met in the summer of 2009 on an airfield in Texas.

David and Shirley's story comes to us from the amazing radio series "Kind World," from WBUR, the NPR station in Boston. It's a special project started by Nathan Goldman sharing stories of kindness and the profound effect that one act can have on our lives. To learn more about Kind World go to WBUR.org
